German giants Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Ghanaian teenager Edmund Baidoo.
According to reports, the Yellow and Black outfit wants to recruit the attacker to replace departing winger Jamie Gittens.
Edmund Baidoo, 19, currently on the books of Austrian champions RB Salzburg, has caught the attention of the Bundesliga side, with internal discussions reportedly being “serious,” according to reports.
Baidoo, regarded as one of Ghana’s most promising young talents, featured in 24 competitive matches for Salzburg during the 2024/25 season.
He mostly came off the bench but impressed by contributing five goals and one assist. His pace, agility, and attacking flair have marked him out as a player to watch.
While Dortmund are yet to make a formal offer, Baidoo’s name remains firmly on their radar. However, weltfussball.de reports that the youngster may still be viewed as too inexperienced to step straight into BVB’s starting lineup.
A move to PSV Eindhoven for Belgian winger Johan Bakayoko is currently seen as the more immediate option for Dortmund.
Baidoo is said to be open to the move to Bayern Munich but is not in a hurry to leave Red Bull Salzburg where he is focused on nurturing his talent and developing.
