Borussia Dortmund are reportedly keeping tabs on Le Havre captain Arouna Sangante as a potential free transfer target for next summer.
The 23-year-old Senegalese central defender is attracting attention from multiple European clubs, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Sangante has been a mainstay at Le Havre since 2017, amassing 138 competitive appearances, scoring eight goals, and registering three assists.
Standing at 1.89 meters, the defender combines physical presence with leadership and technical ability, qualities that have reportedly drawn interest from Dortmund, according to transfer expert Ekrem Konur.
This season, Sangante has featured in 18 of Le Havre’s 20 Ligue 1 matches, missing just two due to injury or illness, as the Normandy club currently sits 13th in the French top flight.
Le Havre is reportedly attempting to secure a contract extension with their captain, but the task is proving challenging, leaving the door open for a potential free transfer.
However, Dortmund face stiff competition for Sangante’s signature, with Premier League sides Leeds United, Brentford, and Brighton & Hove Albion, as well as Bundesliga clubs RB Leipzig and Borussia Mönchengladbach, all reportedly monitoring the defender’s situation.
