Following his winter loan to Hanover 96, where he participated in 14 Bundesliga matches, Arsenal defender Johan Djourou is making a return to Germany.
As previously announced, the Swiss defender has been loaned to SV Hamburg for the 2013-2014 season, with the loan valued at 7,500,000 euros according to reports from rts.ch. Under the guidance of Thorsten Fink, who is familiar with Swiss football due to his time at FC Basel, Djourou is set to continue his career.
The 26-year-old defender, hailing from Ivory Coast, is subject to a purchase option as part of the loan agreement, with the estimated value being 2.5 million euros.
