Djiby Ndoye: Senegalese defender joins AJEL Rufisque on a free transfer

Senegalese centre-back Djiby Ndoye has joined AJEL Rufisque from Ouakam on a free transfer, strengthening the Ligue 1 club’s defensive options.

The 1.85m defender switches clubs after featuring 26 times in Ligue 1, scoring once and playing 2,340 minutes. Ndoye’s move keeps him in the same division, with both Ouakam and AJEL Rufisque competing in Senegal’s top flight.

Ndoye is a right-footed central defender whose latest recorded league campaign included a goal as well as regular involvement across the season. His profile gives AJEL a player with experience of the competition he will continue in following the transfer.

The move represents a change of club without a transfer fee, with Ndoye leaving Ouakam and arriving at AJEL Rufisque as a free agent. His listed market value is €125,000, while the transfer itself was completed without a payment between the clubs.

Ndoye’s arrival adds further depth to AJEL’s defence and places him at a club where his Ligue 1 experience can be carried into a new chapter. The Senegal international’s position, height and right-footed preference provide a clear outline of the role he brings to the squad.

The transfer was completed on 18 September 2026.
