Diogo Dalot shares footage of Cristiano Ronaldo behind the wheel before Norway match

Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot has posted a light-hearted video showing Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo driving a small car as the pair travelled to training ahead of Sunday’s Nations League meeting with Norway.

The clip shows Ronaldo in the driver’s seat, with Dalot providing an amused commentary from beside him. The video quickly drew attention because it captured an informal moment between the two Portugal internationals away from the pitch.

Ronaldo and his team-mates are preparing to face Norway after Portugal opened their Nations League campaign with a 1-0 victory over Wales in the first round of Group 4 in League A.

Spanish newspaper Marca reported that Dalot had shared “special moments with Cristiano Ronaldo” during Portugal’s training camp. It added that the Manchester United defender had praised Ronaldo’s driving ability, suggesting the Al Nassr forward was talented in that area as well.

TNT Sports BR also joined in with a joke posted alongside the footage on social media.

“You can be rich, but you will never have Cristiano Ronaldo as your personal driver, like Diogo Dalot!” the post said, accompanied by laughing and Portugal flag emojis.

The light-hearted exchange comes after a lengthy debate over Ronaldo’s performances following Portugal’s exit from the 2026 World Cup. New manager Jorge Jesus nevertheless included the Portugal legend in his first squad since taking charge.

Portugal began the Nations League with a win over Wales, with Joao Felix scoring the only goal of the match. Ronaldo started the game but was replaced during the second half.

Ronaldo is expected to remain one of the central figures in Jorge Jesus’ plans as Portugal continue their campaign against Norway on Sunday.
