Goalkeeper Didier Ovono, who had been without a club since the end of his time with Sochaux in the previous season, has decided to return to FC Sapins in the Gabonese championship. His move follows the footsteps of his teammates Daniel Cousin and Stéphane N’Guema, who also returned to play in Gabon to revive their careers. Despite facing challenges in finding a club abroad, Ovono expressed his eagerness to play again and rejected the idea of retirement. The goalkeeper had put his international career on hold in October 2012 but returned to represent Gabon in the World Cup qualifiers.
