France head coach Didier Deschamps is confident Paul Pogba will get back to playing at the highest level very soon.
Speaking to Téléfoot, the World Cup winning coach opened up on his relationship with the France midfielder of Guinean descent.
Despite backing Paul Pogba to find his feet, Didier Deschamps insists that the former Manchester United midfielder must put in a lot of effort.
“Obviously, we have a strong relationship after everything we have experienced together. He has the mental strength to return to the highest level, but it’s his career; it’s up to him to decide,” Deschamps said.
Pogba was sidelined after testing positive for a banned substance, which initially resulted in a four-year suspension. However, the ban was later reduced to 18 months, and the midfielder has since been cleared to return to football.
Now a free agent following the termination of his contract with Juventus, Paul Pogba is actively seeking a new club.
The midfielder is hoping to find a new club in the summer transfer window.
