Devid Eugene Bouah: Italian-Ivorian midfielder joins SC Cambuur on free transfer
Italian-Ivorian midfielder Devid Eugene Bouah has joined SC Cambuur from Carrarese on a free transfer, completing a move from Italy’s Serie B to the Netherlands’ Eredivisie.
The 25-year-old right midfielder switches clubs on 17 August, bringing an end to his time with Carrarese and beginning a new chapter with Cambuur. His arrival gives the Dutch club a player whose listed position is on the right side of midfield as they prepare for life in the Eredivisie.
Bouah’s move is completed without a transfer fee. His market value is listed at €400,000, making the deal a free acquisition for Cambuur as the club adds an experienced player at no cost.
The transfer also marks a change of footballing environment for Bouah. He leaves the Italian second tier for the Netherlands’ top division, with Cambuur becoming his new club after his spell at Carrarese. The move places him in a different domestic competition and gives him the opportunity to continue his career outside Italy.
Bouah is eligible to represent both Italy and Cote d’Ivoire. His dual nationality adds an international dimension to his arrival, although no senior national-team record is attached to the transfer.
Cambuur have therefore secured a 25-year-old wide midfielder while Bouah has completed a free move from Carrarese. His transfer to the Eredivisie club was finalised on 17 August 2026.
