Desire Doue thanks family and mystery supporter after collecting the 2025 Golden Boy award

Desire Doue delivered a heartfelt speech as he collected the 2025 Golden Boy award in Turin, paying tribute to the people closest to him on an emotional night.

“It’s an honour to be here, I’m very happy,” the PSG star told the audience, explaining that the trophy is dedicated to his family for their constant support and sacrifices throughout his journey. He admitted he is rarely nervous in public, but becomes emotional whenever he speaks about his loved ones.​

Doue also made sure to thank PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, sporting advisor Luis Campos, coach Luis Enrique, the staff and his teammates for helping him reach this level so early in his career. He then mentioned a special “mystery” person without revealing their identity, saying they would recognise themselves in his words.​

Reflecting on his rise and what comes next, the Frenchman spoke about the importance of dreaming, ambition and hard work, noting that he has already won the Champions League and several trophies with PSG but still wants many more collective and individual honours.

He insisted that discipline and daily effort matter more than any award, and closed by urging young players to listen to their parents, focus on school and keep believing in their goals.
