Desire Doue confident PSG ready for any Champions League test

Desire Doue insists Paris Saint-Germain are ready for whatever the Champions League throws at them as they await the round of 16 draw.

The holders booked their place in the next stage after a hard-fought playoff victory over Monaco, a tie that tested their mentality as much as their quality.​

PSG will now be paired with either Chelsea or Barcelona, but Doue made it clear there is no fear in the dressing room, only excitement. “It’s going to be two great games,” he told UEFA, stressing that the squad will approach the tie “with a lot of confidence” no matter who comes out of the hat.​

Doue highlighted the importance of coming through a tough clash with Monaco, praising his side’s resilience and character in coming from behind.

He added that Monaco are “a great side, with a lot of quality and some top players,” and that every Champions League night presents a serious challenge.

For PSG, though, the focus is simple: they did the job in the playoff, and now feel fully prepared for the next big European test.​
