Luis Enrique has confirmed that Desire Doue is back in the squad for Paris Saint‑Germain’s Champions League trip to Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday after missing recent matches with injury.

The winger trained this week and is in contention to feature at San Mames, although the staff plan to handle his minutes carefully.

“Doue is back, it’s important for us to know how to manage his minutes. I saw him this week, I hope he can play tomorrow,” Enrique said, while also revealing that Nuno Mendes, Lucas Beraldo and Lucas Chevalier will undergo late fitness tests. Achraf Hakimi is still unavailable, but the coach underlined that several players, including Warren Zaïre‑Emery, Yorick Mayulu and Willian Pacho, are capable of filling in at left-back if needed.

The European champions head to Bilbao needing a positive result to consolidate second place in the new league‑phase table, where they sit on 12 points, three behind leaders Arsenal. With Doue returning, key defenders being assessed and tactical flexibility in the full-back positions, Enrique faces important selection calls for what could be a demanding night in the Basque Country.
