Desire Doue admits late PSG fear against Monaco
Desire Doue delivered another standout performance for Paris Saint-Germain but did not hide that he and his teammates felt real pressure at the end of their dramatic 2-2 draw with Monaco at the Parc des Princes.
Despite playing with a numerical advantage, PSG conceded a late equaliser and only squeezed through on aggregate, 5-4, with Monaco pushing hard for a comeback.
“At the end when they score, we feel stressed and it is scary,” Doue admitted on Canal+ Foot, reflecting honestly on the tense finale.
He still highlighted PSG’s reaction: “We managed to react because we were behind. We played a great collective match.” The young French midfielder underlined the team’s ambition: “The objective is to dominate the whole match, but you also have to know how to come back when you are behind.”
Doue added that PSG must tighten up defensively: “Next time, we will try not to concede a goal, it’s important.”
The 2025 Golden Boy was again named Man of the Match after providing the crucial assist for Marquinhos’ equaliser and now has 4 goals and 1 assist in 6 Champions League games this season.
