Dennis Oliech Leaves France After Nearly a Decade, Joins Dubai SC
After nearly ten years in France, Dennis Oliech has brought his European chapter to a close. The Kenyan international striker, who had been with AC Ajaccio since 2012, has officially transferred to Dubai SC in the United Arab Emirates.
The Corsican club confirmed the move, stating:
“The Kenyan international had expressed his wish to the club: to explore new horizons. With his contract set to expire in June 2015, an agreement was reached between Ajaccio, the player, and his new club to respect both his desire and the interests of all parties.”
Oliech, 30, made 50 Ligue 1 appearances for Ajaccio and scored 8 goals during his time there. Before joining Ajaccio, he also had spells at FC Nantes and AJ Auxerre, becoming one of the few East African footballers to establish a long-term career in European top-flight football.
With this move to Dubai, Oliech embarks on a new adventure in the Gulf region as he enters the next phase of his career.
