Gabon forward Denis Bouanga extends Los Angeles FC contract until 2028

Denis Bouanga has extended his contract with Los Angeles FC until the end of 2028, the Major League Soccer club has confirmed.

The Gabon international had been linked with a possible move away from the United States, with Brazilian side Fluminense reportedly expecting to secure his services.

However, the 31-year-old forward will remain in California after committing his future to Los Angeles FC.

LAFC announced the agreement on their social media platforms, stating that Bouanga’s new contract runs until 31 December 2028.

The deal also includes options that could keep him at the club for a further two seasons, through to 2029 and 2030.

Bouanga has been a key figure for the American side and his decision to stay ends months of uncertainty surrounding his future.

In addition to interest from Fluminense, he had also been linked with a move to Inter Miami in recent months.

The extension represents a significant show of confidence from LAFC, who have moved to secure one of their most experienced attacking players on a long-term basis.

Bouanga, who plays primarily as a left winger, remains an important part of the club’s plans going forward.

According to Transfermarkt, the Gabonese forward is currently valued at €8 million. He is reported to earn an annual salary of €1,910,458.

By committing to a new deal, Bouanga brings clarity to his immediate future and provides stability for LAFC as they continue their campaign.

Despite interest from elsewhere, he will continue his career in Major League Soccer, with the possibility of extending his stay even further if contractual options are activated.
