Dembele rejects Al-Hilal offer to continue PSG career

Al-Hilal have suffered a setback in their pursuit of attacking reinforcements after Paris Saint-Germain winger Ousmane Dembele rejected the Saudi club’s offer to join them during the current transfer window.

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the France international has informed Al-Hilal of his intention to remain with the Ligue 1 champions, ending the Saudi side’s hopes of securing one of their priority transfer targets.

Dembele is instead expected to continue his career in Paris, where he is reportedly focused on negotiating a new contract with PSG.

French star focused on making history

The winger is said to have no interest in leaving the French champions at this stage of his career, preferring to continue competing for major domestic and European honours.

Dembele is also aiming to add to his personal achievements and help PSG build on their recent successes, with a contract extension expected to be agreed in the coming months.

Al-Hilal forced to explore alternatives

Dembele had emerged as Al-Hilal’s leading target to strengthen the wing position after Italian head coach Simone Inzaghi identified the need for another world-class attacker ahead of the new season.

With that move now off the table, the Saudi Pro League club are expected to accelerate their pursuit of alternative options.

Among the players reportedly under consideration is Senegal international Iliman Ndiaye, who currently plays for Everton, while several other attacking targets also remain on the club’s shortlist.

Transfer plans continue

Despite missing out on Dembele, Al-Hilal remain active in the transfer market as they continue reshaping their squad for the new campaign.

The club have already strengthened with the signing of Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville, but officials are still determined to add another high-profile attacker before the transfer window closes as they seek to compete for domestic and continental honours.
