Dembele confident of Champions League final return
Ousmane Dembele has eased PSG concerns ahead of the Champions League final against Arsenal, saying his calf issue is nothing serious and that he expects to be ready in time.
The French winger picked up the knock in Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Paris FC, but he insists he will be fit for May 30.
In quotes carried by RMC, Dembele said, “It’s going very well. I had a slight scare against Paris FC, but I’m fine and I’ll be ready for the final. Will I be 100% for the final? Yes, yes, I think so, yes, I’ll be ready. I have no doubt about it, I hope to be on the pitch on May 30th.”
He also explained that he chose to stop as a precaution rather than risk making the problem worse.
Dembele has been one of PSG’s most productive players this season, with 19 goals in 39 matches in all competitions, and his availability would be a major boost for Luis Enrique’s side.
