Dembele and Hakimi miss PSG training session
Paris Saint-Germain held an internal practice match on Saturday as they continue their final preparations for the Champions League final against Arsenal.
Achraf Hakimi and Ousmane Dembele both sat out the exercise, with the club managing their workloads ahead of the trip to Budapest.
Hakimi, who picked up a thigh injury in the first-leg semifinal against Bayern Munich on April 28, worked individually instead of joining the group. Dembele, meanwhile, stayed in treatment after feeling discomfort in his calf during PSG’s previous match against Paris FC.
The session took place at the Campus de Poissy and was watched by around 1,000 members of the Collectif Ultras Paris. Even without two of their biggest names, PSG still had a lively run-out, with Vitinha, Goncalo Ramos and Ibrahim Mbaye among the reported scorers.
Young players including Abdou Fanne Drame, Rayan Abo El Nay, Thomas Cordier and Yanis Khafi were also involved. Nuno Mendes and Willian Pacho took part in the game, while the squad now has a few recovery days before training resumes on Tuesday.
The UEFA Champions League final will be played at the Ferenc Puskas Stadium on May 30th.
