Facing the possibility of departure, Demba Ba expresses his desire to continue his journey at Stamford Bridge, at least for the upcoming season. The return of José Mourinho as the leader of the Blues and Romelu Lukaku taking the forefront in the attack doesn’t appear to unsettle the Senegalese international.
“I plan to stay. I believe competition is essential, and here we welcome top players with open arms. Moreover, increased competition will contribute to my personal progress,” explained the 28-year-old Senegalese international striker. He added, “We will all be working towards the same goal, for the club and to secure victories.”
At 28 years old, the former Newcastle player, who joined Chelsea last winter, netted six goals in 22 appearances for the club.
