Bamidele Isa Yusuf delivered a stunning individual performance to lead Vojvodina to a commanding 4-0 victory over Novi Pazar in the Serbian Super Liga on Friday. The Nigerian forward scored all four goals in a dominant display at the Caizcoin Arena, helping his side secure their sixth league win of the season.
The 23-year-old opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a left-footed strike that took a deflection before finding the top corner.
Despite opportunities for both sides, the scoreline remained unchanged until Yusuf struck again in the 66th minute, doubling Vojvodina’s advantage with a composed finish.
Yusuf completed his hat-trick in the 75th minute before adding his fourth goal just three minutes later, sealing an emphatic win for Nenad Lalatović’s team.
The result marks Vojvodina’s biggest-ever away victory against Novi Pazar in the history of their Super Liga meetings.
This is the second time this season Vojvodina has recorded a 4-0 victory, following a similar result against Spartak Subotica in October.
Yusuf’s four-goal haul brings his tally to eight goals in 16 league appearances, making him one of the standout performers in the competition.
Only Red Star Belgrade’s Pape Cherif Ndiaye, with nine goals in ten games, has scored more than Yusuf in the league this season.
The match also featured two other Nigerian players, Adetunji Adeshina and Ajia Yakub, who both started for Novi Pazar.
Yakub, the 19-year-old goalkeeper, could have done better to prevent Yusuf’s opening goal but had little chance with the others due to Vojvodina’s relentless attacking display.
Vojvodina’s victory solidifies their position in the league standings and underscores Yusuf’s growing influence as one of the top strikers in Serbian football.
