Defender Mohamed Shoukry has shared his excitement after securing a move to Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Shoukry joins the record CAF Champions League holders from fellow Egyptian club Ceramica Cleopatra and is expected to play a huge role for the club.
The enterprising left-back penned a five-year-old deal to make a sensational return to the Egyptian giants in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Shukry praised his experience with Ceramica Cleopatra, describing it as a “significant stage” in his career, during which he achieved significant successes on the personal, artistic, and collective levels.
“Thank God, my return to Al-Ahly came at the perfect time. I’m returning home, and God willing, I’ll be able to prove myself in the coming period and become a key player.” He said.
“I learned a lot, gained valuable experience, and won three championships during that period.”
Having made a return to the club, Shoukry is expected to play a huge role for Al Ahly in the upcoming football campaign. Meanwhile, the defedner is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Tunisian star Ali Maaloul, who made a huge impact at the club.
Al Ahly are keen on bolstering their squad as they seek to make a meaningful impact in the 2025/26 season.
