Dean Rhappozzoh: Zimbabwe midfielder joins Albion Rovers on free transfer from Dumbarton
Zimbabwe attacking midfielder Dean Rhappozzoh has joined Albion Rovers on a free transfer from Dumbarton. The 20-year-old has signed a deal with the Coatbridge club running until 31 May 2027.
Rhappozzoh, who was born in Harare on 16 April 2006, moves to the Lowland League side after a season with Dumbarton in Scottish League Two. His arrival adds an extra creative option in the advanced midfield role as Albion Rovers prepare for the 2026-27 campaign.
The switch marks the latest step in a rapid rise through the Scottish system for the youngster. He moved into Dumbarton’s first-team squad in July 2025 after initially joining their under-20s from Livingston B the previous December. Prior to that, he spent time on loan at Blackburn United and with St Roch’s, gaining experience across different levels of the Scottish pyramid.
Rhappozzoh has been registered in time for the Scottish League Cup, although he is yet to make an appearance in the 2026-27 competition. He joins Albion Rovers with no goals or assists recorded so far this season but will be aiming to establish himself over the course of his first full campaign with the club.
The midfielder’s move from League Two Dumbarton to Lowland League Albion Rovers is a permanent free transfer completed on 14 July 2026.
