Youssef En-Nesyri will not be making a move to Juventus during the current winter transfer window, with the Moroccan striker opting against a proposed loan deal from Fenerbahce to the Italian giants.
The potential transfer broke down after En-Nesyri expressed reservations about the structure of the agreement.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus had reached an understanding on a €4 million loan deal that included a €19 million purchase clause. However, the striker was not convinced by the temporary nature of the move and made it clear that he favoured a permanent transfer instead.
Juventus Director of Football Giorgio Chiellini confirmed the end of negotiations, stating, “En-Nesyri has doubts over deal formula [loan] so now after assessing this case we consider the negotiations OVER. We’ll NOT sign En-Nesyri on a permanent deal.”
With the Turin option now closed, reports from both Italy and Morocco indicate that En-Nesyri is weighing up a possible return to Sevilla.
The Spanish club, where he spent four seasons and built a strong connection with supporters, are said to be monitoring his situation closely, while the player awaits a concrete proposal.
The collapse of the Juventus move comes on the back of En-Nesyri’s recent displays for Fenerbahce and his involvement in Morocco’s AFCON 2025 campaign.
Despite genuine interest from Juventus, the striker remained unconvinced by a short-term solution and is prioritising long-term security at this stage of his career.
