De Bruyne reaches 201 career goals with Belgium double against Turkey

Kevin De Bruyne scored twice as Belgium hosted Turkey at the Maurice Dufrasne Stadium on Friday, with the Napoli midfielder reaching 201 career goals, according to Bleacher Report.

The 35-year-old opened the scoring in the 10th minute of the Nations League 2027 group-stage match. After dribbling past a Turkey defender, De Bruyne finished low into the goalkeeper’s bottom-left corner.

He struck again in the 60th minute, unleashing a powerful effort from outside the penalty area which the Turkey goalkeeper could not stop.

beIN SPORTS praised the second goal on social media, describing it as “A moment of magic from Kevin De Bruyne!” and “An astonishing goal to put Belgium in front!”

De Bruyne’s second goal took his international total to 40 for Belgium and, according to Bleacher Report, brought his overall tally in football to 201.

His club record includes 108 goals for Manchester City, 20 for Wolfsburg, 17 with Genk, 10 for Werder Bremen and six for Napoli. Added to his goals for Belgium, the figures give him the reported career total of 201.

However, a separate graphic published by B/R Football listed De Bruyne’s total as 200 goals, including 39 for Belgium. It gave the same club breakdown: 108 for Manchester City, 20 for Wolfsburg, 17 for Genk, 10 for Werder Bremen and six for Napoli.

The match formed part of the third round of the Nations League 2027 group stage, with Belgium facing Turkey at Maurice Dufrasne.
