Italian-Ghanaian striker Davis Mensah played a pivotal role as Mantova secured a commanding 3-1 victory over Frosinone in their first-ever encounter at the Stadio Danilo Martelli.
Mensah, who started the match and played 78 minutes, was instrumental in Mantova’s early dominance. His pinpoint assists set up Davide Bragantini in the 23rd minute and Mattia Aramu in the 44th minute, propelling Mantova to a comfortable 3-0 halftime lead. Simone Trimboli also found the net, converting Antonio Fiori’s pass in the 38th minute to double Mantova’s advantage.
Frosinone struggled to find their rhythm, managing only 41% possession and two shots on target. However, Tjas Begic’s brilliant strike in the 55th minute offered a glimmer of hope, though it proved too little too late.
Mensah’s stellar performance brings his Serie B tally to four assists in 14 games this season, underlining his creative prowess. Mantova, now brimming with confidence, will look to carry this momentum into their next match against Spezia on December 26th.
