Davide Marchisio signs first professional contract with Juventus

Juventus have handed Claudio Marchisio’s son, Davide Marchisio, his first professional contract, with the midfielder committing his future to the club until 2028.

The 17-year-old currently plays for Juventus’ Under-18 side, having progressed through the club’s academy from a young age.

Marchisio has made four appearances during the current season, scoring once and providing two assists. He previously won the Italian league title with Juventus’ Under-16 team.

His development has now been rewarded with a long-term deal, extending his association with the club where his father, Claudio Marchisio, spent most of his career.

Claudio Marchisio joined Juventus’ youth system at an early age and represented the club until 2018. During his time with the side, he won 15 trophies.

The former midfielder also earned 55 caps for Italy and featured at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups. He played in the team’s Euro 2012 campaign, when Italy lost the final to Spain.
