David Luiz has officially closed a three-year chapter at Chelsea to embark on a new journey with Paris Saint-Germain, in a high-profile transfer valued at around €50 million. The 27-year-old Brazilian defender addressed the move during a press conference, reflecting on his decision to leave London for the French capital.
“It’s a new stage, a new project, a new country, a new language,” Luiz said. “I was very happy at Chelsea, I won titles there, but the end of the cycle has arrived. I will start a new cycle in Paris.” Although the deal awaits the official opening of the transfer window, Luiz confirmed that everything is agreed with PSG and expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming challenge.
