David Djigla underwent trials with Bordeaux last winter, and this summer, the Beninese international returned to Gironde for further assessments. Impressively, the Benin national team player managed to convince the leadership of Girondins de Bordeaux.
According to L’Equipe, following successful trials, David Djigla has officially joined Girondins de Bordeaux, signing a three-year professional contract. The 18-year-old attacking player has been assigned the number 31 in the UEFA squad list.
Considered one of the most promising talents in Beninese football, Djigla made his debut in the A national team under the guidance of Manuel Amoros in June 2012, during a match against Ethiopia in Cotonou. Additionally, he played a significant role as a key player with the Ecureuils juniors, participating in the Can junior last March in Algeria.
