David Beckham recently visited the Wuhan Zall club in Hubei province, China. During his visit, he took a free kick and, unfortunately, received a big hit. Despite the mishap, Beckham remained in good spirits and expressed his passion for changing the mentality of the league in China, aiming to make it as renowned as the biggest leagues in the world. He emphasized the importance of football in the country and the enthusiasm it generates among the people.
David Beckham took advantage of the international break since we are playing the qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup this weekend. At 36, he is the dream of Qatar but no longer the English selection… He therefore has time to leave PSG – the club is really cool with him! – and visiting China where he came to get an extra ticket and who knows how to negotiate perhaps one last big check even if he plans to stay at PSG next year. Anyway Beckham visited the Wuhan Zall club in Hubei province. And in a nice suit, with his H&M briefs as you can imagine, he wanted to give a demonstration. Bad luck, he took a big hit while taking a free kick. He was the first to laugh about it. Then he said: “I want people to understand that this is not a short-term project. It is with great passion that we want to change the mentality of the league and get young people to contribute to making it a championship as renowned as the biggest in the world (…) When we see the euphoria in this country when the team behaves well, we see how important it is to people.
