David Alaba sidelined with adductor injury, set to be out for up to three weeks

Real Madrid have announced that David Alaba is facing a setback due to a new injury.

The Austrian defender of Nigeria descent has been diagnosed with an adductor muscle injury in his left leg, which will keep him off the pitch for an estimated 2-3 weeks.

As a result of this injury, Alaba is set to miss several crucial matches, including fixtures against Leganes and Atletico Madrid, as well as the first leg of their highly anticipated clash with Manchester City.

There is also a possibility that he could be unavailable for the second leg of the matchup, further complicating the team’s defensive options.

This injury comes at a challenging time for Real Madrid, who are already without fellow defender Antonio Rudiger, also sidelined with an injury.

The absence of both players places additional pressure on the squad and raises concerns about the team’s defensive depth.

Critics are now questioning the club’s decision not to sign a defender during the January transfer window, as these injuries could have significant implications for their performance in both domestic and European competitions.

Real Madrid will need to navigate this difficult period carefully as they aim to maintain their competitive edge.
