Daniel Nunoo’s journey from Ghana’s lower leagues to Austria’s top flight has reached a new high.
The 18-year-old winger, who began his career at Ghanaian lower-tier side Shooting Stars FC, has officially been promoted to the first team of Austrian Bundesliga club SK Rapid Wien. When he joined the club in September 2024, the plan was for him to develop with Rapid’s reserve side. But his performances quickly shifted that narrative.
Nunoo made his debut for Rapid II in November 2024, coming on as a substitute for Jovan Živković in the 60th minute during a 2. Liga clash against FC Liefering. His speed, skill, and attacking spark didn’t go unnoticed.
Primarily a right winger, Nunoo can also operate on the left or through the middle as an attacking midfielder. His current contract runs until June 30, 2026, with an option for an extra year.
According to Transfermarkt, Nunoo’s value has already climbed to €300,000, a figure that could rise further if his first-team performances impress.
