Daniel Fosu has completed a free transfer from Guildford City to Havant & Waterlooville FC, joining the Hampshire club on a deal running from 2025-12-10 to 2026-06-30.

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder, who holds both Ghanaian and English nationality, arrives after a short spell at Guildford City and will be registered with Havant & Waterlooville as they continue to reshape their squad. The move has been confirmed as a permanent transfer, with no fee paid between the clubs.

Fosu, listed primarily as an attacking midfielder and right-footed, has spent the bulk of his career in the English non-league system and Scotland’s lower divisions. His latest switch continues a journeyman path that has taken him through a succession of clubs, including Farnborough, Hendon, North Leigh, Thatcham Town, Burnham, Beaconsfield Town, Binfield, Uxbridge and Hanwell Town, as well as Scottish sides Arbroath and Peterhead.

The midfielder’s most notable spell in terms of market valuation came at Arbroath, where his estimated value rose to €125,000 during the 2022-23 season before later falling to zero during his time at Peterhead. While he has most recently been moving on free transfers, that earlier valuation underlines a period when he was regarded as a promising asset in the Scottish Championship setup.

Before rejoining the non-league scene in England, Fosu left Peterhead and briefly found himself without a club, a status he has experienced more than once in his career. From there he rebuilt his route back into regular football via Hanwell Town, Binfield, Uxbridge and most recently Guildford City, from whom Havant & Waterlooville have now signed him without a fee.

Fosu’s career has been characterised by short stints and frequent moves rather than long-term stays, including loan spells at Highmoor Ibis and Burnham from Beaconsfield Town. That background suggests Havant & Waterlooville are taking a calculated, low-risk gamble on a technically capable, attack-minded midfielder with broad experience across different levels of the British game.

Although there is no current market value listed for Fosu, his dual-nationality status means he remains eligible to represent either Ghana or England at international level, though there is no information indicating any senior national-team involvement to date.

For Havant & Waterlooville, his arrival strengthens their attacking options between midfield and forward lines, adding creativity and depth in advanced areas. For Fosu, the move offers another platform to re-establish consistency at one club after a series of short-term stays. With his contract set to run until 2026-06-30, the coming seasons will determine whether he can convert his varied experience into a more settled and influential role on the south coast.
