Daniel Arcilesi: Italy-Ghana midfielder joins Chersonissos on free transfer from Almyros Gaziou

Italy-Ghana midfielder Daniel Arcilesi has joined Greek side Chersonissos on a free transfer from Almyros Gaziou. The 30-year-old central midfielder has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027 after completing his move on 25 July 2026.

Arcilesi, a left-footed central midfielder, arrives as Chersonissos continue to shape their squad for the new campaign. Born in Palermo and standing at 1.78m, he is expected to operate in the heart of midfield, offering balance on his stronger left side.

The move keeps Arcilesi in Greek football after his spell with Almyros Gaziou, where he had been re-establishing himself in senior competition. His switch to Chersonissos marks the latest step in a career that has taken him from Italy to the Greek game, combining influences from both of his national backgrounds.

Capable of playing through the middle and linking defence with attack, Arcilesi’s profile gives Chersonissos another option in central areas as they look to strengthen their core. His contract through to summer 2027 underlines the club’s decision to build around him beyond a single season.

Arcilesi will now integrate into his new squad ahead of the forthcoming campaign, with his free transfer from Almyros Gaziou officially completed.
