Daniel Agyei named in League One team of the week

English-born Ghanaian striker Daniel Agyei has been named in Sofascore League One’s team of the week.

Leyton Orient secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Bristol Rovers in League One action on Tuesday evening.

The match saw a fast start from the hosts, with Dan Happe opening the scoring in the 17th minute. A well-taken header from a Tom James corner gave Orient an early advantage. Ollie O’Neill doubled the lead in the 29th minute, curling a beautiful right-footed strike into the top corner from the edge of the box.

Agyei put the game beyond doubt in first-half stoppage time, scoring with a clinical left-footed shot from a tough angle, assisted by James. The goal capped off a strong performance from the forward, who worked tirelessly for his side, lasting 85 minutes on the pitch.

Leyton Orient controlled the game with 61% possession, and despite Bristol Rovers’ limited efforts, they were unable to break down the Orient defense.

The victory moves Orient closer to their next League One clash with Wigan on December 7th.
