Daniel Aghahowa joins IMT Belgrad U19 after scoring six goals in five matches

Nigeria centre-forward Daniel Aghahowa has joined IMT Belgrad U19 from Usce U19 on a free transfer, completing his move to the Serbian youth side on 18 September.

The 18-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2029, securing his immediate future with a club competing in the Omladinska liga Srbije.

Aghahowa arrives at IMT after a strong start to the 2026-27 campaign. He scored six goals in five league appearances for Usce U19, finding the net once every 56 minutes across 338 minutes of action.

The Lagos-born forward had joined Usce earlier in the same season, moving to the club on 15 August. His switch to IMT comes after only a month with his previous side and keeps him in the same Serbian youth competition.

Aghahowa has played in five of Usce’s six possible league matches this season. He started 67% of those games and played 63% of the available minutes, while his six goals accounted for a 38% goal participation rate.

His performances have come as a central striker, the position in which he is registered at IMT. The Nigerian also recorded one yellow card and one second yellow card during his recent league appearances, with no sending-off recorded by straight red card.

The move continues Aghahowa’s recent progression through youth football in Serbia. Before joining Usce, he had been associated with Abia Warriors, while the move to IMT represents his latest change of club and his first recorded transfer during September’s 2026-27 campaign.

IMT Belgrad U19 will now have the teenager available for its Omladinska liga programme, with Aghahowa bringing a record of six goals from his first five league appearances this season.

Aghahowa’s free transfer to IMT Belgrad U19 is complete, with his contract in place until June 2029.
