Dan Nlundulu linked with move to Romanian club Petrolul Ploiești

Romanian top-flight side Petrolul Ploiești are reportedly interested in signing Congolese striker Dan Nlundulu, with local media suggesting the forward could be set for a move outside British football.

The 25-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving Scottish Premiership club St Mirren at the end of the season, and is now weighing up his next career step.

Although details of any potential negotiations remain limited, reports indicate that Petrolul Ploiești are monitoring his situation closely as they consider strengthening their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

A move to Romania would represent a fresh challenge for Nlundulu, who is believed to be open to opportunities outside the United Kingdom after previously playing in England and Scotland.

Should the transfer materialise, it would mark only his second experience abroad following his spell in Scottish football. Adapting to a new league, style of play and environment is expected to be a key factor in any decision he makes.

Nlundulu’s career has so far included time in English football after coming through the Chelsea academy system, followed by spells aimed at establishing himself at senior level across different competitions.

During the previous season, the striker made 33 appearances in all competitions for St Mirren, scoring five goals and registering one assist.

His performances demonstrated his involvement across the campaign, even as he worked to maintain consistency in front of goal.

With his contract now expired, Nlundulu is assessing his options carefully, with interest from abroad adding another possible direction for his career.

Petrolul Ploiești’s reported interest remains one of several potential pathways, and the striker is expected to consider multiple offers before deciding on his next move as he looks to restart and stabilise his career in the coming season.
