Daddy Abdulrahman: Nigerian midfielder joins Barau FC from Kanemi Warriors

Nigerian midfielder Daddy Abdulrahman has joined Barau FC from Kanemi Warriors, strengthening the NPFL side’s options in central midfield. The 22-year-old, who plays primarily as a central midfielder and is right-footed, makes the move within the Nigerian game after establishing himself as a regular at top-flight level.

Abdulrahman arrives at Barau FC with a growing reputation built on consistent minutes in the Nigeria Premier Football League. He has already made 79 league appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists, amassing 5,751 minutes of action and averaging a goal roughly every 523 minutes from midfield. His transfer comes with a current market valuation of around €100,000.

The move marks the latest step in a career that has already taken Abdulrahman across notable Nigerian clubs. He first left Kanemi Warriors in 2023 to join Shooting Stars on a free transfer, before returning to Kanemi in 2025. His switch to Barau FC now ends his second spell with the Maiduguri side and offers him a new platform at national league level.

Born on 8 August 2003, Abdulrahman joins Barau FC at an age where he already has substantial NPFL experience but still room to develop further. Barau have added a player accustomed to the demands of the division and proven capable of contributing goals and assists from the middle of the pitch.

Abdulrahman’s registration with Barau FC is complete as of 21 July 2026, confirming his move from Kanemi Warriors ahead of the new NPFL campaign.
