The first-leg programme in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup continues on Saturday, 5 September 2026, with nine matches scheduled, including CS Sfaxien’s trip to Nigeria and ASKO de Kara’s visit to Niger.
ASKO de Kara will face AS ZAM at 15:30, with the Togolese club aiming to secure a positive result before the second leg. The match gives ASKO the chance to take an early advantage in the tie before the return fixture later this month.
CS Sfaxien will also begin their campaign away from home when they visit Shooting Stars in Nigeria at 15:00. The fixture brings together two clubs with a strong history in continental football and is one of the most notable matches on Saturday’s programme.
Several other first-leg ties are also scheduled throughout the day. AS Douanes of Mauritania will host Hafia FC of Guinea at 16:00, while Mali’s FC Diarra will welcome Ghanaian side Nations FC at the same time.
Earlier in the day, Atomic Ngome will play Black Bulls. KMKM SC, referred to as KMC in the programme preview, will face Al Ahly Tripoli, while Red Arrows FC will host FC Rouge. Green Mamba will take on CD 1° de Agosto.
UNAM will meet Kabuscorp de Palanca in another fixture, with that match also scheduled for 15:00.
The opening legs of the first preliminary round are being played between 4 and 6 September. The return matches will follow from 11 to 13 September, when the teams will compete for progress to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup qualifying process.
