CS Fola Esch bring in French-Malian winger Djibril Coulibaly
French-Malian winger Djibril Coulibaly has joined Luxembourg club CS Fola Esch on a free transfer from US Thionville B.
The 26-year-old right winger completed the move on 12 August 2026, becoming a CS Fola Esch player in the Ehrenpromotion. No transfer fee was involved in the switch.
Coulibaly arrives after one season with US Thionville B, having moved to the French club from FC Luneville on 1 July 2025, also as a free transfer. His latest change of club continues a sequence of moves between French sides before his arrival in Luxembourg.
He spent the 2024-25 campaign with FC Luneville after joining from US Raon-l’Etape. That move, like his transfers to both Luneville and Thionville B, was completed without a fee. Coulibaly had previously joined US Raon-l’Etape from CS&O Blenod PaM in July 2022.
The attacker’s recorded playing history includes 37 appearances and five goals in National 3 Group I. He also made two appearances in National 1 Group B and featured once in the Coupe de France.
Coulibaly’s role is listed as right winger, giving Fola Esch a player with experience across France’s lower divisions as they prepare for his first recorded spell at a Luxembourg club. His nationalities are France and Mali.
The move gives Coulibaly an opportunity to begin a new chapter outside France after four years moving between CS&O Blenod PaM, US Raon-l’Etape, FC Luneville and US Thionville B. His latest club change was completed on the opening date recorded for the 2026-27 season.
Coulibaly has now switched from US Thionville B to CS Fola Esch on a free transfer.
