Crystal Palace sign dual-national winger Zavier Gozo from Salt Lake for €13m

United States and Ivory Coast winger Zavier Gozo has joined Crystal Palace from Salt Lake for €13m, completing a move to the Premier League club at the age of 19.

Gozo has signed a contract with Palace running until 30 June 2031. The right winger, who prefers his right foot, moves to England after making 43 MLS appearances for Salt Lake, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists.

Born in West Valley City, Utah, Gozo represents both American and Ivorian footballing backgrounds. He began his senior career with Real Monarchs before joining Salt Lake, and also spent part of the 2024-25 campaign on loan with Real Monarchs.

His record in MLS Next Pro includes six goals and one assist from 27 appearances. He also featured in the Leagues Cup, Concacaf Champions Cup, US Open Cup and MLS Cup Playoffs during his time in the United States.

Gozo joined Salt Lake after progressing through the club’s academy system. His move to Palace represents a significant step from Major League Soccer to the English top flight, with the transfer being completed on 18 August 2026.

Palace have secured the services of the 1.80m attacker after his rise through the Salt Lake and Real Monarchs pathway. His new contract keeps him at the club through the end of the 2030-31 season.

Gozo’s senior club career has so far been based in the United States, following his move from La Roca FC to the RSL Academy in 2021 before progressing to Real Monarchs and then Salt Lake.

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Zavier Gozo from Salt Lake for €13m, with the winger under contract until 2031.
