Crystal Palace have rejected a €30m offer from Galatasaray for Senegal international Ismaïla Sarr, with the Premier League club reportedly demanding twice that amount before considering his departure.

Galatasaray have made an official approach for the winger as they look to strengthen their squad before the transfer window closes.

The Turkish club’s interest in Sarr is understood to be serious, with the Senegal international identified as a priority target. Fabrizio Romano first reported that Galatasaray had made an offer for the Crystal Palace player.

However, the initial proposal has failed to convince the London club.

According to the information provided, Galatasaray’s bid was worth €30m. Although that represents a significant fee, Crystal Palace have decided against accepting it as they remain keen to retain Sarr.

The Eagles are reportedly looking for a fee of at least €60m before they would consider allowing the 27-year-old to leave.

That valuation puts pressure on Galatasaray to significantly increase their offer if they want to make progress in negotiations.

The Istanbul side would effectively have to double its opening proposal to reach the figure reportedly expected by Crystal Palace.

Sarr has become an important player for the London club since arriving from Marseille in 2024. His status within the Palace squad means the Premier League side are under no immediate pressure to accept the first offer that arrives for him.

Galatasaray must now decide whether to return with an improved proposal or end their pursuit of the Senegal winger.

The Turkish club’s first approach has established its interest, but Crystal Palace’s response has made clear that a €30m offer will not be enough to secure the player’s services.

With the London club reportedly valuing Sarr at €60m, the next step will depend on whether Galatasaray are prepared to substantially increase their bid.

For now, Crystal Palace have rejected the initial proposal and remain firm on their position over the Senegal international.
