Senegalese Star Ismaïla Sarr scoops Player and Goal of the Month at Palace
Crystal Palace has honoured Senegalese winger Ismaïla Sarr with both Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards following a decisive March for the Premier League side.
The London club recognised Sarr’s influential performances during a period in which he played a pivotal role in keeping Crystal Palace on course to avoid relegation.
Sarr scored twice against Tottenham on 5 March, helping the Eagles to a 3-1 victory on the 29th matchday. His strike in that match was later voted Goal of the Month.
Sarr’s momentum extended to European competition, where he netted twice in the Europa Conference League on 19 March, leading Crystal Palace to a 2-1 win over AEK Larnaca of Cyprus.
His scoring run carried into international duty with Senegal, as he added another goal against Peru on 28 March at the Stade de France, reinforcing his status as a key contributor for both club and country.
Crystal Palace currently sits 14th in the Premier League table, navigating the final stretch of the season with the aim of securing safety in England’s top flight.
Managerial praise has highlighted Sarr’s consistency, creativity, and finishing ability, noting that his performances in March were among the most decisive of the campaign.
“Ismaïla has been outstanding this month,” a club statement read. “His goals, work rate, and leadership on the pitch have been crucial for Crystal Palace, both in domestic and European competitions. These awards recognise his commitment and impact.”
The dual recognition underscores Sarr’s growing influence at Selhurst Park, with his form providing hope to the Eagles as they seek to consolidate their Premier League status ahead of the season’s conclusion.
