Crystal Palace bid for Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara

AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara is attracting serious Premier League attention following an impressive season in Ligue 1.

Crystal Palace have reportedly submitted a concrete offer for the Senegal international, while Nottingham Forest are also closely monitoring his situation.

The 22-year-old has become one of Monaco’s most dependable midfielders since joining from Metz for €15 million in 2024. With 30 senior caps for Senegal, Camara’s growing reputation has placed him firmly on the radar of several English clubs.

Monaco are not prepared to sell cheaply and are said to value Camara at around €50 million. The club may need another substantial outgoing transfer after Maghnes Akliouche’s move to Paris Saint-Germain, but they remain determined to protect the value of a player central to their project.

Manchester United and Liverpool are also following developments, although both clubs are reportedly waiting to see how their midfield plans unfold before making a formal approach.

Monaco have already identified Cruz Azul’s Erik Lira as a possible replacement. However, the Mexican midfielder’s arrival would depend on Monaco creating space for non-European Union players within their squad.
