Crysencio Summerville strikes again as Al-Hilal put Al-Ahli under pressure

Al-Hilal strengthened their advantage against Al-Ahli after Crysencio Summerville scored the second goal in their delayed Roshn Saudi League fixture at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

The match is being played as a rearranged game from the third round of the competition, with Al-Hilal continuing to show their attacking authority against their visitors.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic opened the scoring after nine minutes, converting Al-Hilal’s early pressure into a lead. The home side then added a second goal through new signing Summerville in the 23rd minute.

Al-Hilal moved forward once again and found Summerville unmarked inside the Al-Ahli penalty area. The Dutchman received the ball on the left side of the box before producing a sudden finish towards the near corner.

His low shot travelled past the feet of goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and settled in the net, doubling Al-Hilal’s advantage and increasing Al-Ahli’s difficulties in the match.

The goal was Summerville’s second for Al-Hilal in the league since joining the club from West Ham United during the summer. It also came in his fifth appearance for the Saudi Arabian side.

Summerville opened his Al-Hilal scoring account in the club’s match against Al-Khaleej. He scored the fourth goal in a 5-1 victory, a result recorded during the fourth round of the league.

His latest strike was another decisive contribution from the Netherlands international as Al-Hilal maintained their attacking momentum in the rearranged contest. The move also highlighted the space available to the forward inside the penalty area before he completed the chance with a finish that went close to Mendy’s near post.

Al-Hilal’s opening goal had arrived after only nine minutes, when Milinkovic-Savic turned their early dominance into a breakthrough. Summerville’s goal then gave the hosts a two-goal cushion before the match had reached the midway point of the opening period.

The fixture brings together Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli in a game that had been postponed from the third round of the Roshn Saudi League. With two goals already scored, Al-Hilal continued to set the pace in the attacking exchanges at Kingdom Arena.

Summerville’s arrival from West Ham United has now produced two league goals in five appearances for Al-Hilal. His first came in the 5-1 win over Al-Khaleej, while his second has given the club further control against Al-Ahli.
