Crysencio Summerville expected to return for Al Hilal against Al Taawoun

Crysencio Summerville is expected to be available for Al Hilal’s next Roshn Saudi League fixture against Al Taawoun after recovering from the hamstring injury he suffered against Neom.

The Netherlands winger was forced off during Al Hilal’s 2-0 defeat by Neom last Monday at Kingdom Arena. His injury raised doubts about whether he would be fit for Saturday’s away match at Al Taawoun, but Saudi newspaper Al Yaum reports that Summerville will take part as normal.

Al Hilal will travel to Al Taawoun’s stadium in Buraidah for the seventh round of the Roshn Saudi League. The match comes after the club’s first defeat to Neom, who secured a 2-0 victory in the sixth round.

Summerville suffered a strain to his hamstring during that game and was unable to continue. However, the report states that the 24-year-old has now recovered and is set to be involved against Al Taawoun.

The Dutch winger has established himself as one of Al Hilal’s important players since joining the club during the previous summer transfer window. He moved to Saudi Arabia from English club West Ham United.

Since completing that transfer, Summerville has made seven appearances for Al Hilal in the Roshn Saudi League and the King’s Cup. During those matches, he has scored two goals and provided two assists.

His expected return would give Al Hilal another attacking option before the meeting with Al Taawoun. Summerville’s involvement has been significant since his arrival, and the club will hope his recovery allows him to continue contributing after the setback against Neom.

Al Hilal’s upcoming fixture will be played on Saturday at Al Taawoun’s ground in Buraidah, with both sides meeting in the seventh round of the competition. The immediate focus for Al Hilal is therefore on Summerville’s fitness following the hamstring problem that cut short his appearance in the previous league match.

Despite the injury scare, reports indicate that the winger will be available rather than facing a spell on the sidelines. His return would mean he is expected to feature only days after being withdrawn in the defeat at Kingdom Arena, when Neom won by two clear goals.

Summerville joined Al Hilal from West Ham United in the summer and has so far recorded four direct contributions in seven appearances, with two goals and two assists across the Roshn Saudi League and King’s Cup.
