Cristiano Ronaldo was in Monaco on Thursday, not for football-related matters but as an ambassador for the New York watchmaking house Jacob & Co. Despite previous rumors linking him to AS Monaco, the Portuguese star clarified his visit during a brief interview with Nice-Matin.
Ronaldo spoke positively about AS Monaco, acknowledging it as a good club with a fantastic owner. He expressed his best wishes for the team as they return to Ligue 1 and mentioned that he has a particular interest due to the presence of two Portuguese players, as well as Falcao and J. Rodriguez.
However, Ronaldo made it clear that, at the moment, he is content at Real Madrid. He did not rule out the possibility of joining Monaco in the future but emphasized his current happiness with his current club. In a light-hearted tone, he added, “I won’t say that I will never come to this club, but today I am happy at Real Madrid. I just want to come to Monaco for the holidays!”
