Ghana international Brandon Thomas-Asante has earned plaudit from Coventry City manager Frank Lampard following his outstanding performance against Swansea City.
The Black Stars attacker emerged as the hero as Coventry City secured a 2-0 away win over their opponent on Saturday.
Asante assisted Ellis Simms in the 17th-minute to open the scoring before scoring the second goal of the match in the 44th-minute. And with no additional goal, Coventry City snatched maximum points in the match.
“Really special. Nobody in the stadium can see it until it happens and it’s an individual moment of brilliance, instinctive, but real quality and as soon as he hit the ‘keeper knew he was in trouble.
“I’m really happy for him and these things come off the back of doing all the right things, all the right hold-ups and all the right runs, but that was something outstanding.
“You have to work for confidence, and you have to work to keep it and that’s where we’re at as a team and Brandon individually and there’s players throughout the team that are playing like that at the moment.
“It’s important that we stay on top of ourselves and don’t get too carried away, we’re on a good run of form and good run of results and to sustain that is another step.”
The Black Stars forward has now scored four goals and provided two assists in 29 games in the Championship this season.
