Couhaib Driouech linked with Salzburg transfer as PSV winger attracts interest

Moroccan-Dutch winger Couhaib Driouech is being linked with a move from PSV to Austrian Bundesliga club Salzburg.

The 24-year-old left winger joined PSV from Excelsior in July 2024 and remains under contract until 30 June 2029. His current market value is listed at €7.5m.

Driouech has yet to feature for PSV in the 2026-27 Johan Cruijff Schaal, with the new campaign still at an early stage. He was part of the PSV squad that won the Dutch title in 2024-25 and retained the championship in 2025-26, before adding the Dutch Super Cup in 2026.

The potential move would see Driouech switch the Eredivisie for Austria’s top flight, with Salzburg identified as the club interested in securing his services. No transfer fee or probability has been established for the reported approach, and the move remains a rumour rather than a confirmed transfer.

Driouech began his senior career with Excelsior after progressing through Heerenveen’s academy. PSV paid €3.5m for him in 2024, when his listed market value was €4m.

The winger, who is eligible to represent both Morocco and the Netherlands, also won the Under-23 Africa Cup with Morocco in 2023. His long-term PSV contract means the club would not be facing an imminent expiry decision if it considers any approach from Salzburg.
