Cote d’Ivoire bring in Siramana Dembele to strengthen Herve Renard’s coaching team

Siramana Dembele has officially joined the Cote d’Ivoire national team’s technical staff as assistant coach to Herve Renard.

The appointment adds Dembele’s experience and tactical perspective to the coaching set-up as Cote d’Ivoire prepare to pursue new sporting objectives. His role will be to support Renard on the Ivorian bench and work alongside the head coach in guiding the national side.

Dembele, who was born in Paris on 27 January 1977, has a substantial background in professional football. He previously played as a defensive midfielder before successfully moving into coaching.

His experience as a player, combined with his understanding of the game, will now be placed at the service of Cote d’Ivoire’s squad. The French coach is also regarded for his tactical discipline, qualities which will form part of his contribution to the national team’s staff.

The Ivorian Football Federation is seeking to combine Dembele’s expertise with Renard’s leadership as it looks to strengthen the team’s collective dynamic.

The partnership is based on the complementary qualities of the two coaches. Dembele will provide support to Renard while bringing his own footballing knowledge and vision to the role of assistant coach.

For Cote d’Ivoire, the move represents an effort to reinforce the coaching structure ahead of the competitions to come. The federation’s objective is to build on the combination of Renard’s leadership and Dembele’s experience as the national team aims for success in future tournaments.

Dembele’s arrival formally confirms his place within the Cote d’Ivoire set-up. His appointment gives him responsibility for assisting Renard and helping the technical staff prepare and guide the players.

As a former defensive midfielder, Dembele brings the perspective of a player who operated in a position traditionally associated with organisation, discipline and defensive awareness. Those qualities now inform his work as a coach, where his professional background and tactical approach are being used to support the national side.

The federation’s decision reflects its belief that the two coaches can work effectively together. By pairing Dembele’s coaching experience with Renard’s leadership, Cote d’Ivoire hope to create a stronger collective framework and compete successfully in the sporting challenges ahead.
