A scandal involving two players from Uruguayan club Defensor Sporting has stirred controversy. Following their impressive 2-0 victory over Colombian team Atletico Medellin in the Copa Libertadores quarter-finals last Thursday, players were given a three-hour break.
During this time, Matias Malvino and Ramon Arias invited two women to their hotel room. Intoxicated, the players engaged in inappropriate behavior, which was documented in photos taken by one of the women. These images were subsequently shared online, causing a widespread outcry.
Both players are now facing potential disciplinary actions from their club.
