Samuel Ntanda-Lukisa has completed a return to RSC Anderlecht, signing a contract that will keep him at the Belgian giants until 2027, with an option to extend for a further season.

The 19-year-old Congolese U21 international rejoins the club where he spent five formative years in the youth system between 2014 and 2019.

Born in Brussels, Ntanda departed Anderlecht’s Neerpede academy to continue his development, first at KV Mechelen and later at Sint-Truiden, before embarking on an overseas challenge with Italian side Sampdoria.

During his spell in Italy, Ntanda initially joined the Genoa-based club’s youth ranks but made his professional debut in June 2023, a significant milestone in his budding career.

While his time in Serie B was relatively short, it proved invaluable in terms of his growth and exposure to a different footballing culture.

At Sampdoria, Ntanda earned recognition for his agility, technique, and attacking versatility. Capable of operating across the frontline, the 2005-born forward was praised for his ability to break down defences and remain composed in high-pressure situations.

His performances hinted at a maturity beyond his years, contributing to his steady rise through the ranks.

Internationally, Ntanda has also left his mark. He captained the DR Congo U20 national team at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in May, scoring twice in four appearances.

His leadership on the pitch and influence in the final third underscored his credentials as one of the most promising talents within Congolese football.

Anderlecht’s decision to bring Ntanda back is viewed as a strategic move to reinvest in young, homegrown talent. His familiarity with the club’s philosophy, coupled with his international and professional experience abroad, positions him as a valuable asset for the team’s present and future ambitions.

For Ntanda, this transfer represents more than just a return — it’s a full-circle moment in his career. The move is expected to offer him regular playing time and the ideal environment to take the next step in his development.

The Brussels-based club, which has a long-standing tradition of nurturing talent through its youth academy, appears committed to returning to those roots.

Ntanda’s signing is seen as a reinforcement of that vision, reflecting their belief in players who understand the culture of the club while bringing added experience from outside its borders.

With his return confirmed, the spotlight will now be on how quickly Ntanda can integrate into Brian Riemer’s side and make an impact in the Belgian Pro League.

For the young Congolese striker, the challenge is clear — to translate his potential into consistent performances at senior level, in the colours of the club that first set him on the path.
